STOP & SHOP LONG ISLAND

CONTRACT RATIFICATION RESULTS

Today August 31, 2026, the ballot boxes were opened from the six (6) stores voting from the tentative agreement reached between Stop & Shop Long Island and UFCW Local 464A. All votes were tallied with the following results:

    257 – Yes votes to ratify the Company’s Final Proposal 

    2 – No Votes to deny ratification and commence a strike

    0 – Voided Ballots 

    259 – Total Votes Cast 

We wish to thank the following three (3) members Sal Battaglia, Daniel Rodriguez, Pamela Jenrette, along with your Union Negotiations Committee for an outstanding job bringing us a contract that meets our needs and will serve us well in the future. We also wish to thank our militant membership who stood with us shoulder to shoulder and let management know we would not accept a contract that failed to satisfy all of our needs. We would tell all workers who are a part of our Stop & Shop Long Island membership that they should be extremely proud of our collective results especially in the areas of our full-time and part-time wage increases, along with the fact that we will enjoy no co-pay medical for both full-time and part-time members for the next five (5) years, and all the necessary funding for our pension plans. Again, a heartfelt well-done to our committee and membership and now let’s get back to the job of growing the business and becoming more successful.
