IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT JOHN T. NICCOLLAI FRIDAY, AUGUST 28, 2026

CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS UPDATE 

President Niccollai reported this evening that a tentative agreement has been reached between the Union and the Stop and Shop Long Island Division.  We are pleased to report that we managed to attain our major industry contract for our Long Island group, along with numerous improvements and the maintaining of our no co-pay medical for full-time and part-time members and our noncontributory pension plan for our members.

Union representatives will be in the affected Long Island stores tomorrow morning with ballot boxes, ballots and a highlight sheet for the purpose of a ratification vote.  Your Union recommends all members vote in favor of the final company proposal that was also unanimously recommended by your member negotiating committee.

Ballots will be tabulated by the Union with a person from the membership negotiating committee on Monday.  Results of the vote will be reported out on our Union website.
