COURT FILINGS AND MULTIEMPLOYER NEGOTIATIONS
President Niccollai reported today that our Bankruptcy Attorneys project that Kings will file an 1113 Motion today with the Court, which will reject the Union Contract (originally scheduled for last Friday). President Niccollai reported today that since Kings Supermarkets has filed documents in the Bankruptcy Court your Union is permitted, as a matter of law, to discuss matters which were previously restricted by confidentiality limitations.

CHAPTER 11 BANKRUPTCY
President Niccollai reported this morning that Kings Supermarkets filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection with the Federal Court for the Southern District of New York late last night. The Company has assured the Union that business will continue as usual and we will not see any changes or modifications in the Collective Bargaining Agreement concerning wages, health care, pension, or working conditions.
