A&P Names Knox Senior VP of Human Resources and Communications

The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, Inc. (A&P) has announced that Carter Knox will assume the role of Senior Vice President, Human Resources & Communications.

The newly named Senior Vice President has a background in Human Resources and Communications with over 30 years in various management positions within retail sales management and merchandising. Prior to joining A&P, he was the Senior Vice President, Human Resources for OfficeMax. He has experience in human resources and associate communications, including roles with Fred Meyer, a division of the Kroger Co. He holds a B.A. from Marylhurst University in Communications.

He will lead Human Resources, Field and Corporate, Labor Relations, as well as the Company's Public Relations & Communications departments.
