Local 464A originated in 1939 in a one room office in Paterson, NJ heated by a pot bellied stove


Local 464A has steadily grown in membership and now stands at nearly 20,000


Our jurisdictional region stretches North-South from Kingston, NY to Barnegat, NJ and East-West from the Atlantic Ocean to the Delaware River, and we also represent members in all of Westchester County, portions of New York City, Long Island and Milford, PA


John T. Niccollai is not only your President of Local 464A, but also serves as President of the New York/New Jersey District Council and is a Vice President of UFCW at the international level

During 2009 the Mobile Medical Units made 425 store visits and its registered nurses saw 3,300 Local 464A Members. Since their inception in 1980, the Mobile Medical Units have been used by members nearly 100,000 times resulting in the early detection of health conditions that have not only improved, but also saved many lives


UFCW departed the AFL-CIO to join the Change to Win alliance in 2005 – other Unions forming Change to Win are:
