Legal Services

Members of UFCW Local 464A that are employed in establishments owned by employers who have signed contracts with the Union and are contributing to the Welfare Service Benefit Fund, may participate in benefits of the Prepaid Legal Services Plan. This includes the eligible dependents of Members.

Legal representation may be provided in the following categories:

  • Change of Name
  • Consumer Matters
  • Criminal Defense
  • Domestic Relations
  • Landlord – Tenant
  • Real Estate Matters
  • Wills

The benefit provides four (4) yearly office consultations per family (covered member and eligible dependents) on any legal matter. Consultations are encouraged as a preventive measure before problems occur or before they develop into a lawsuit.

To receive benefits: Appointments may be made for conferences by telephoning the legal services office directly.

The specific services available under each of the categories above are subject to the Plan of Benefits. Only the Joint Board of Trustees is authorized to interpret the Plan of Benefits.
